Job summary
JR Automation, A Hitachi Group Company, is seeking a Principal Applications Engineer for Life Sciences. Based in the United States in a hybrid role, you will lead a team of engineers and work with account managers to develop winning strategies and technical solutions for Life Sciences customers.
You will advance automation capabilities and drive continuous improvement across AE tools and processes. You will bring 10+ years of leadership in projects, possess deep Life Sciences and automation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related business or engineering field.
- 10+ years of industry experience leading successful projects and highly motivated teams (15+ years’ experience preferred).
- Proficient in all Applications Engineering processes and tools.
Responsibilities
- Lead a Team of Application Engineers to pursue new customer opportunities within the Life Sciences vertical.
- Develop strategic direction and win strategies with a team of engineers to obtain future work from new customers.
- Manage the development of cost‑effective technical solutions meeting customer requirements.
- Promote innovation by identifying new technologies and approaches to improve win rate with new customers.
- Work with Market Vertical Leader and sales to identify potential M&A targets to support growth objectives.
- Identify and implement Continuous Improvement initiatives related to AE tools and processes.
- Evaluate the viability of new customer opportunities introduced by the Sales Team.
