Job summary

Henry County Schools seeks a Principal for Elementary, Middle, or High School within Leadership Services. The role reports to the Assigned Assistant Superintendent and anchors instructional leadership across grade levels to drive CSIP initiatives and strong school culture.

The position requires an earned Georgia Educational Leadership Certificate (Level 5+), extensive administrative experience, and a proven track record in curriculum and assessment excellence within a public school system.

Qualifications

• Hold or be eligible for Georgia Educational Leadership Certificate, Level 5 or higher.
• Minimum of six years educational experience including three years in administration.
• Demonstrated knowledge of standards, curriculum, and instruction.
• Commitment to ethics, confidentiality, and professional reputation.
• Ability to supervise students and staff, including during emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high-quality instructional implementation with balanced instruction, standards, and formative assessment.
• Establish clear, consistent communications with parents, families, and community partners.
• Anticipate staffing needs and meet staffing timelines.
• Develop and monitor CSIP to improve student performance.
• Observe and evaluate employee performance and supervise conduct toward goals.
• Maintain a positive school climate with high expectations and interactive teaching.
• Implement procedures for a safe and orderly school environment.
• Develop and manage a school budget according to regulations.
