Scope of Project

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services requires one (1) Expert Epic Principal Trainer – Patient Access to manage and execute the Patient Access training plan for an EHR implementation project. The role focuses on developing role-based training materials, maintaining Epic training environments, supporting credentialing efforts, and ensuring adherence to Epic standards.

Mandatory Certifications

• Candidate MUST be Epic-certified Principal Trainer in the following modules:
• Grand Central Curriculum Certification
• Cadence Curriculum Certification
• TED105 Training Wheels Behind the Scenes
• TED300 Training Environment Build Certification

Responsibilities

• Develop role-based training content using Microsoft Office and related tools
• Design, develop, and maintain instructional materials
• Maintain policy and procedure documentation
• Incorporate feedback to enhance training delivery and administration
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop new content
• Build and test training environments (MST) and troubleshoot issues
• Co-facilitate classroom instruction and support training exercises
• Prepare lessons, print materials, and configure training environments
• Present technical content clearly and effectively
• Provide post-training support to trainees
• Train and credential additional trainers (train-the-trainer model)
• Manage assignments and adhere to project timelines

Required / Preferred Skills

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of experience as an Epic-certified Principal Trainer
• Certified Principal Trainer for Cadence Enterprise Scheduling, Prelude Registration, and Grand Central Patient Flow
• 3+ years of experience in adult education, particularly healthcare IT or revenue cycle
• Ability to independently manage work activities and ensure compliance with Epic standards
• Strong presentation, facilitation, and communication skills
• Ability to develop and manage training environments

Highly Desired Skills:

• 3+ years certified in developing Epic training environments
