Job summary

Jobot is seeking a senior-level infrastructure engineer to act as the technical bridge between federal customer operations and internal engineering. The role is highly hands-on, diagnosing and resolving complex production issues across Linux, virtualization, networking, containers, and cloud infrastructure.

This is primarily a remote role with travel to Dallas, OKC, and Montgomery, AL up to 25%. Requires an active secret clearance or ability to obtain one, and 10+ years of infra engineering

Qualifications

• Must have Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one.
• 10+ years of infrastructure engineering/support and systems administration experience.
• Proficiency in VMware, Linux, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical bridge between federal customer operations teams and internal engineering.
• Diagnose and resolve complex production issues across Linux systems, virtualization, networking, containers, and cloud infrastructure.
• Provide hands-on engineering support in a remote role with on-site customer deployments as needed.
• Coordinate with customers and engineering to ensure timely issue resolution.

Job Details

We are seeking a senior-level infrastructure engineer to serve as the technical bridge between federal customer operations teams and internal engineering organizations. This is a highly hands-on role focused on diagnosing and resolving complex production issues across Linux systems, virtualization, networking, containers, and cloud infrastructure.

This is primarily a remote role where your time will be split between primarily working virtually and supporting customer environments in Dallas, Oklahoma City, and Montgomery, AL. Travel to customer sites is up to 25%

MUST HAVE:

• Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one
• 10+ years of infrastructure engineering/support and systems administration experience
• VMware (ESXi, vCenter, NSX)
• Linux systems administration (Redhat, Ubuntu)
• Kubernetes and containerized workloads
• AWS, Azure, or hybrid cloud infrastructure

NICE TO HAVE:

• Federal or DoD customer experience
• KVM/libvirt
• Certifications: VCP, RHCSA/RHCE, CKA/CKAD
• Security+, CISSP, or CASP+
• AWS, Azure, or GCP certifications
• DevOps tools: Prometheus, Grafana, Ansible, Terraform
• Identity Management
