Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking Principal / Sr Principal Industrial Engineer to support Systems Test Team activities at Vandenberg, CA. The role emphasizes scheduling, capacity analysis, and shop floor layout optimization within a DoD-cleared environment.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, develop manufacturing metrics, and present briefings to leadership. Strong IE fundamentals and experience with ERP/MES tools are required.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen with DoD Secret clearance; active and within scope.
• Strong knowledge of Industrial Engineering concepts and scheduling
• Experience with shop floor time studies and capacity analysis
• Experience with project management and manufacturing schedules
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and data visualization tools

Responsibilities

• Support Industrial Engineering activities for the Systems Test Team.
• Create and maintain schedules and metrics for leadership reporting.
• Develop and maintain SQDEC boards with key metrics.
• Design and optimize shop floor layouts and production processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define scheduling requirements.
• Present technical briefings to upper management.
