Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Principal Industrial Engineer (Level 3) at Edwards Air Force Base. The role combines industrial engineering expertise with project management, analytics, and cross‑functional collaboration to optimize production flow in a fast-paced environment.

You will analyze processes, lead digital transformation, and develop scheduling tools integrated with SAP/MRP while ensuring EVMS compliance and security clearances.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree with relevant engineering/production experience; or Master’s with relevant experience.
• Minimum 1 year of EVMS experience and DoD Secret Clearance.
• Willingness to travel 10% and work 2nd shift 4/10 schedule.
• Experience with SQL, VBA, Python or similar programming languages.

Responsabilidades

• Analyzes lead times, queue times, work-in-process, cycle times, and throughput to meet customer demand.
• Builds scalable models to optimize product flow considering cost, schedule, and resources.
• Develops optimized scheduling tools; aligns SAP/MRP with executable plans under capacity constraints.
• Collaborates with IT, ERP, analytics and data science teams on requirements planning.
• Leads digital transformation aligned with sector and enterprise strategies.
• Creates new metrics and data visualizations to monitor shop floor performance.
• Performs time studies and follows up on action items.
