Job summary
Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an Industrial Engineer to support the Ogden Manufacturing Facility and improve layouts, processes, and systems. You will own projects in layout design, 5S, and workflow optimization to reduce cycle time and increase capacity.
The role requires a BS in Industrial Engineering or related field, strong Excel skills, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance. The staff operates on a 9/80 schedule with relocation assistance possible.
Qualifications
- Education: BS in Industrial Engineering or related field.
- Experience in industrial engineering, manufacturing operations or scheduling.
- Strong Excel modeling and communication skills.
- Ability to obtain DoD Secret/SAP access.
Responsibilities
- Track hardware deliveries and maintain schedules and metrics for leadership.
- Develop SQDEC boards with daily metrics.
- Design and optimize shop floor layouts and workflows.
- Support capacity analysis and production planning with data.
- Collaborate with product teams and suppliers to meet requirements.
