Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an experienced Principal Aeronautical Engineer (Level 3) for our Woodland Hills, CA location. This onsite role follows a 9/80 schedule with a Secret clearance required to start.

Responsibilities include missile structure design, GD&T application, supplier coordination, and mass property analyses. Candidates should have MS/BS in STEM and relevant DoD project experience.

Qualifications

• Experience with NC resolutions and GD&T standards.
• Experience with 3D parametric modeling in Creo.
• Experience with PLM systems and TeamCenter.

Responsibilities

• Design primary and secondary missile structures and assemblies using 3D CAD and 2D drawings.
• Apply GD&T and Model Based Engineering (MBE) to support digital transformation.
• Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturing, and supply chain on changes and cost reductions.
• Perform tolerance stack‑up analysis and report outcomes.
• Create engineering briefs and track task status.
