Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine in Cambridge, MA or Spring House, PA seeks a Principal Scientist, Translational Science Program Lead – Immunology to own end-to-end translational strategy across assets, guiding biomarker plans, pharmacology, and clinical development decisions.

You will lead cross-functional teams, interpret multidimensional data, and communicate evidence-based recommendations to governance, advancing precision medicine initiatives at a world-leading health company.

Qualifications

PhD or MD/PhD in immunology or related field required.
5+ years post-degree experience in pharma/biotech preferred.
Experience developing translational/clinical biomarker strategies.

Responsibilities

Own the translational strategy connecting disease biology to decision points.
Define evidence needs, timelines, risks, and mitigation options.
Lead precision medicine strategies for patient stratification and biomarker endpoints.
Translate science into clinical plans covering biomarker strategies and dose selection.
Represent Translational Science in matrixed teams and align cross-functional partners.
Ensure execution readiness with study leads and vendors for data delivery and analyses.
Interpret high-dimensional datasets to generate actionable biological and clinical insights.
Communicate uncertainty, risks, and recommended paths to governance bodies.
Support portfolio by leveraging human data and external collaborations.
Mentor scientists and contribute to standards and strategy.
