Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine in Cambridge, MA, is seeking a Principal Scientist, Translational Science Program Lead – Immunology onsite in Cambridge, MA or Spring House, PA. The role owns end-to-end translational strategy for assets, translating disease biology into decision-linked plans guiding dose, regimen, and regulatory strategy.

The candidate will lead through scientific credibility in a matrixed environment, integrating ideas across functions, and communicating complex evidence

Qualifications

• PhD or MD/PhD in immunology or related field.
• 5+ years in pharma/biotech with translational biomarker experience.
• Strong knowledge of immune-mediated diseases and translational biology.
• Experience developing and executing translational or clinical biomarker strategies.

Responsabilités

• Own the translational strategy connecting disease biology to decision-making.
• Anticipate evidence needs and define critical questions and timelines.
• Lead precision medicine strategy including patient stratification and biomarker endpoints.
• Translate science into clinical plans addressing target engagement and dose.
• Represent Translational Science on cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.
• Ensure execution readiness with study leads, labs, and vendors.
• Interpret integrated evidence from preclinical to clinical data to inform decisions.
• Drive risk assessment and present options with mitigation plans and preferred path.
• Strengthen the portfolio using human data and biospecimens across assets.
• Lead external collaborations to close strategic gaps in translational capabilities.
• Support regulatory and scientific communication through plans and submissions.
