Job summary

Acxiom seeks a Principal Software Architect to lead architectural direction across identity resolution platforms and large-scale data systems. You will design secure, scalable enterprise applications and low-latency services, guiding teams in deterministic and probabilistic matching, data modeling, and distributed processing.

You will shape cloud-native architectures on AWS, leverage Snowflake and Databricks for analytics, and mentor senior engineers while ensuring performance and reliability

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience designing complex enterprise software systems.
• Proven experience as Architect/Principal/Staff Engineer or equivalent.
• Deep experience with Identity Resolution, Entity Resolution, identity graph, Customer 360, Master Data Management, or similar systems.
• Strong expertise in Java with high‑performance services and distributed design.
• Strong expertise in Python and data processing, APIs, and distributed workloads.
• Strong expertise in Scala for distributed systems and large‑scale data processing.
• Deep experience with Apache Spark and Spark-based processing.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and complex data modeling.
• Ability to select between Java, Python, Scala, Spark, and SQL based on workload.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive architecture for enterprise-scale Identity Resolution platforms and services.
• Design systems for deterministic and probabilistic identity matching and entity resolution.
• Develop architectures for resolving identities across large, diverse datasets.
• Design solutions for real-time and batch identity resolution use cases.
• Define strategies for identity matching, scoring, survivorship, and lifecycle management.
• Design low-latency APIs and services for high-throughput production workloads.
• Architect distributed applications using Java, Python, and Scala; select best language per workload.
• Design Spark-based data-processing pipelines and Snowflake/Databricks data solutions.
• Define caching, partitioning, and data-access strategies for performance.
• Define AWS-based cloud-native architectures and integration patterns.
