Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Principal Architectural Lead in Health to guide design and delivery of major healthcare projects across North America. You will shape strategy, lead cross-functional teams, and drive client relationships while upholding Stantec’s brand and design excellence.

With 15+ years in the AEC industry, you will mentor teams, pursue business opportunities, and collaborate with marketing to craft integrated proposals for cutting-edge healthcare facilities.

Qualifications

• Healthcare experience with knowledge of Academic Medical Center, Acute Care, and related markets.
• Strong design and planning leadership on major healthcare projects.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams in North America.
• Proven track record in business development and pre-positioning.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with IPD, modular approaches, and innovative delivery methods.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with client relationship focus.
• Ability to balance a diverse book of healthcare work.
• Technical architecture knowledge for health facilities.
• Experience engaging with clients, sub-consultants, and peers.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design and delivery of major healthcare projects (80k sqft to >1M sqft).
• Interface with North American leaders across the integrated design practice.
• Inspire the team and represent healthcare design to reinforce Stantec brand.
• Sustain and grow regional revenue in North America.
• Collaborate with leads to achieve financial and health outcomes metrics.
• Lead pursuits, proposals, and strategic engagement for healthcare projects.
• Seller-doer generating work and long-term client value.
• Develop industry relationships with clients, subs, and recruiters.
• Contribute to thought leadership and brand through client engagements.
• Mentor designers and collaborate with teams to deliver final deliverables.
