Job summary

Micron Technology, a world leader in memory and storage solutions, seeks a Principal HBM Design Engineer in Richardson, TX. You will own design health for HBM products, drive ECOs and verify system behavior across customer platforms.

You will lead silicon and system debugging, guide cross-functional teams (DE/PE/TD), and influence architecture to improve product quality and reliability in high-volume production.

Qualifications

• 8+ years (BS) or 6+ years (MS) in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• Deep expertise in HBM/DRAM architecture and high-speed memory interfaces.
• Strong experience in silicon debug, system-level analysis, and root-cause resolution.
• Proven ability to lead complex technical problems across cross-functional teams.
• Strong background in digital and/or custom design and verification.
• Demonstrated ownership of complex silicon/system issues impacting delivery.

Responsibilities

• Design Ownership: work on HBM product design and maintain health through sustaining phase.
• Technical Leadership: define debug strategies and lead cross-functional teams.
• Silicon & System Debug: perform root-cause analysis and resolve complex issues.
• Cross-Functional Execution: align DE, PE, TD, and system teams for timely delivery.
• Quality & Yield Leadership: identify issues and drive improvements in yield and reliability.
• Customer Impact: lead escalations and system bring-up support with high satisfaction.
• Forward Influence: feed back into architecture to improve future HBM generations.
