OPSWAT, Inc. is seeking a Principal Hardware Product Manager to own the strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle of our security appliance portfolio.

These devices sit at the front line of critical infrastructure and defense environments, with a focus on a differentiable, certifiable platform that scales for enterprise customers. You will lead the hardware roadmap, drive the full NPI lifecycle, manage lifecycle policies, and collaborate across hardware, software, and supply chain teams to ensure

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hardware product management experience in networked, embedded, or appliance-class products.
• Experience leading multiple platforms from concept to mass production.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to brief executives and build defensible business cases.

Responsibilities

• Own the multi-year hardware roadmap across the appliance portfolio — SKU strategy, form factors, performance tiers, refresh cadence, and platform consolidation.
• Drive the full NPI lifecycle (Concept → Proto → EVT → DVT → PVT → Mass Production) with gate criteria, schedule, and go/no-go decisions.
• Manage product lifecycle stages end-to-end — General Availability, sustaining, EOS/EOSL, last-time-buy, and migration paths.
• Define and publish lifecycle policies (support windows, RMA terms, spare-parts SLAs) for customers, sales, and support.
• Own the appliance P&L levers: BOM cost targets, ASP, margin, attach rates, and inventory exposure.
• Translate customer and threat-landscape insights into hardware requirements (performance, ports, tamper resistance, secure boot).
• Run competitive analysis to identify hardware gaps and defensible differentiation across security appliance vendors.
• Build the hardware business case for each platform: TAM/SAM, pricing, projections, and risk.
