Job summary

Keysight Technologies is hiring for a Hardware Design Engineer to join a fast-paced team in Austin, TX. The role focuses on designing network visibility hardware, FPGA-enabled systems, and high-speed interconnects.

You will author schematics, guide PCB layout, and collaborate across Mechanical, RTL, Software, and Manufacturing to deliver next-generation products. Proficiency in Cadence tools and EMC compliance is required.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent required.
  • 5-7 years of relevant product development experience.
  • Strong knowledge of high-speed signal integrity concepts.
  • Experience solving EMC non-compliance issues."
  • Proficient with lab equipment and capturing measurements.
  • Experience with high-performance processors and embedded platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in design and development of network visibility hardware products.
  • Author Schematics and manage PCB layout resources.
  • Support sustaining efforts and implement changes to improve yields.
  • Collaborate with Mechanical, RTL, Software and manufacturing teams.
  • Drive design for high-speed networking and FPGA resources.
  • Contribute to cross-functional project execution across teams.

  • Candidates joining our team will have great impact and help drive Keysight's success by participating in the design and development of new network visibility products - complex systems involving high speed networking, compute, and FPGA resources

Qualifications
  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering with 5-7 years relevant experience
  • Experience in product development from concept to production
  • Knowledge of high-speed signal integrity concepts and practices
  • Experience with EMC design techniques and solving EMC non‑compliance issues
  • Proficient with lab equipment and capturing complex measurements
  • Experience with high performance processors and embedded platforms
  • Competent with Cadence tools: OrCad/Concept, Allegro
  • Knowledge of PCB Stackup's, and understanding of materials
  • Experience with switching power supply design
  • Strong de‑bug skills and analytical problem solving
  • Ability to excel in a fast paced dynamic environment
  • Networking experience is a strong plus
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills and ability to work in small teams is required
