Axiom Space seeks a bold Grounding and Bonding Engineer Principal to own the electrical reference architecture for the station, ensuring proper bonding, isolation, and verification across complex domains. You will define criteria, coordinate with power and software teams, and drive supplier design alignment.

The role emphasizes rigorous testing on real hardware, extensive documentation, and leadership in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent required.
• 12+ years with ownership of grounding and bonding architecture.
• Experience defining isolation and bond verification that survives real hardware tests.
• Proven ability to author controlling documentation: plans, requirements, verification matrices.

Responsibilities

• Own grounding and bonding plan and requirements set, including philosophy, reference architecture, isolation criteria, bonding classes, and verification approach.
• Define and maintain the reference architecture with domain boundaries and reference points.
• Own isolation requirements across the system and their test configurations.
• Define fault behavior and coordinate ground fault and isolation monitoring with power and software teams.
• Drive implementation into design, including bond identification on drawings and demountable bonds for orbital units.
• Flow requirements into procurement specs and review supplier data; disposition deviations.
