Job summary

Florida State University is seeking an Associate Director, Principal Gifts and Donor Experience to lead donor relations and create high-impact engagement for principal donors. You will design stewardship plans, craft personalized communications, and partner with fundraisers to strengthen relationships.

You will collaborate with University Advancement leadership, manage complex projects, and oversee donor experiences, including events and hospitality, to advance major gifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and four years of experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and eight years of experience.
• A valid Florida or Georgia Driver's License or the ability to obtain.
• Experience in donor relations, annual giving or development activities in nonprofit organizations is preferred.
• Strong ability to plan and execute high-level donor experiences, events or hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute donor relations activities that complement fundraisers' work with major and principal donors.
• Collaborate with University Advancement leadership to create personalized donor plans and reports.
• Oversee complex stewardship and recognition projects with multiple deliverables.
• Maintain donor interaction records in the constituent management system.
• Coordinate donor communications, reports, letters, and invitations for high-priority donors.
• Organize high-touch donor experiences, including events and hospitality, with follow-up.
