Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in GIS, geography, geospatial science, environmental science, or a related field.
GIS Professional (GISP) certification preferred.
10+ years of progressive experience in consulting or equivalent.
Leadership in geospatial/GIS practice, program management, or business development.
Experience with ArcGIS, EQuIS, Envirobase, and scripting in R or Python.
Willingness to travel for client meetings and business development.
Existing relationships with Alaska, Washington, or Oregon stakeholders.
Valid U.S. driver’s license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

Lead the Data and Mapping group’s transition to an external-client facing practice.
Assess current capabilities and guide staffing and growth decisions.
Manage internal and external client projects to meet scope, schedule, and budget.
Lead business development, including proposals, SOQs, and marketing materials.
Develop relationships with other practice areas to support cross-practice sales.
Mentor staff and build a marketing plan for growth.
