Job summary
Niyam IT seeks a Principal Engineer, GIS / Geospatial Solutions to guide technical strategy and architecture for our geospatial accelerators. This senior role combines hands-on delivery on federal contracts with enterprise-level influence over geospatial direction and growth.
The candidate will lead architecture on GIS engagements, mentor engineers, and contribute to external thought leadership while pursuing opportunities across DoD and IC programs.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen with ability to obtain and maintain TS clearance.
- 12+ years in GIS/geospatial engineering with architecture-level design.
- Deep hands-on expertise with Esri ArcGIS platform and geospatial data pipelines.
- Proven ability to lead technical proposals and capture efforts for federal contracts.
- Strong written and verbal communication; mentoring across teams.
Responsibilities
- Set technical direction for GIS platforms and reference architectures.
- Lead solution architecture and delivery across multiple contracts.
- Drive business development with technical differentiators and proposals.
- Publish technical content and present at conferences to position the firm.
