Qualifications

• Requires a related technical degree or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of professional software development with leadership beyond individual contributions.
• Strong knowledge of OOP and at least one major language (Java, JavaScript, C++, C#, Ruby, Python).
• Proven observability/monitoring design experience (New Relic, Splunk, Grafana).
• Proficiency in a high-level language and web framework (NodeJS, Express, Hapi).
• Solid understanding of web technologies (JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, XML, JSON, Ajax).
• Experience with automated testing frameworks (JUnit, JSUnit, Selenium).
• Experience with agentic programming tools and SDLC automation.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive resolution of the most complex production issues across provisioning, billing, and data reconciliation.
• Serve as a technical gatekeeper for high-risk production changes with rollback planning.
• Define service health metrics, instrumentation, alerting, and Ops Review reporting.
• Lead multi-quarter structural fixes and automation to reduce manual interventions.
• Act as technical anchor during major incidents and cross-team escalations with stakeholders.
• Build runbooks, root-cause catalogs, and enablement docs for broader team use.
• Partner with senior leadership to shape roadmap and design decisions.
• Mentor engineers and promote AI-native practices across the SDLC.
