Zusammenfassung

North Cloud is seeking a Principal Software Engineer focused on frontend to steer the architecture, design system, and performance across the product. You will work with Designers and the Experience team to standardize components and ensure fast, accessible interfaces that scale with the business.

You will mentor engineers, set patterns and tooling, and partner with product teams to deliver features that fit the system and satisfy customers.

Qualifikationen

• 10+ years building production web applications.
• Track record of setting frontend direction across multiple teams.
• Experience building and scaling a design system with designers.
• Strong judgment about performance, state management, and data-heavy interfaces.
• You still write a lot of code, and you lead by shipping with teams.
• Clear writing and communication, including explaining tradeoffs.
• Pragmatic, informed use of AI coding tools.
• Low ego and a habit of bringing people along.

Aufgaben

• Set the technical direction for North's frontend architecture, and write down where we're going and why.
• Build and evolve the design system and component library with our Product Designer, and roll it out across the app.
• Raise the bar on performance, accessibility, and interaction quality, down to the details of how the app feels to use.
• Establish frontend patterns, testing practices, and review standards, and get them into the tools engineers and coding agents use.
• Turn recurring frontend questions, review comments, and inconsistencies into design system and framework improvements that reach existing screens, not just new ones.
• Partner with product teams on new features so they land well for customers and fit the system.
• Help shape how Noros shows up across the app as a consistent part of the experience.
• Coach engineers through code review, design review, and pairing.
