Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Principal/Sr Principal Flight Test Engineer to support the SCS Flight Test Team in Patuxent River, MD. You will plan tests, draft procedures, analyze post-test data, and report results as part of a skilled Flight Test Team.

The role requires a STEM degree with multiple years of related experience or a Master’s with experience, plus an active Top Secret clearance. Flexibility for shifts and travel is expected in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in a STEM discipline with related experience or a Master’s degree with related experience
• Experience with test planning, data analysis and reporting
• Active US Government Top Secret clearance required
• Familiarity with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and programming languages

Responsibilities

• Assist in development, execution and peer review of test procedures
• Participate in formal and informal test events
• Support test planning, problem report validation and data analysis
• Create required test artifacts and reports
• Lead moderate-size test efforts under Flight Test leadership
• Attend Flight Test meetings and adapt to shift schedules
