Job summary

RTX Enterprise Services – Real Estate Solutions has a Facilities Engineer role focusing on Fire Protection Systems. The position is based in Marlborough, MA with responsibilities across the Northeast. You will manage fire alarm, prevention and suppression systems and coordinate with customers, contractors, and regulators.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in fire protection, MA/NFPA knowledge, and strong project-management and communication skills to drive compliant, cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years’ experience with Fire Alarm Systems and NFPA 72 knowledge.
• Bachelor’s degree in EE, ME or related field or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of MA and National Building codes and FM design requirements.
• Project Management experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.

Responsibilities

• Subject matter expert for Fire Protection Systems.
• Ensure compliance with RTX policies and all fire codes and regulations.
• Provide technical support to management and trades personnel.
• Deliver system operations training to facilities and security teams.
• Coordinate regulatory requests with local, state and federal agencies.
• Evaluate systems and propose cost-effective improvements.
• Review drawings for NFPA, FM compliance and RTX directives.
• Lead teams and develop solutions aligned with goals.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders and on-call needs.
