Job summary

Intuit, Inc. is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead the long-term technology vision and architecture of the Fintech Risk Platform. You will design systems for trillions in money movement, ensuring low latency, high availability, and robust security while integrating AI/GenAI across risk workflows.

You will mentor engineers, influence across product, data science, and executives, and drive standards for scalable, auditable platforms that support compliant risk management globally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 12+ years of experience building and scaling complex distributed systems.
• Proven experience architecting large-scale financial systems, payment platforms, or risk/fraud systems.
• Deep expertise in backend systems, frontend technologies, cloud platforms, and AI/ML in production.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the multi-year technical vision and architecture for the Fintech Risk Platform.
• Architect systems for $1T+ annual money movement with high availability and security.
• Lead end-to-end risk decisioning systems across payments, identity, fraud, compliance, and disputes.
• Drive cross-functional architecture across payments, ledgers, analytics, and customer platforms.
