Job summary

SAIC seeks a Principal Cloud Engineer with FinOps KION experience to design, build, and manage secure, scalable cloud environments for federal and defense customers. You will work across AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI, delivering full-spectrum cloud and cyber service delivery with cost-optimized solutions.

The role supports government modernization initiatives for Civilian, Federal, DoD, Space, Intel, and Commercial partners.

Qualifications

• 9+ years in cloud engineering, architecture, or infrastructure roles.
• Experience with FinOps and multi-cloud environments.
• Ability to obtain secret clearance for federal work.
• Proficiency in one or more major clouds: AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI.
• Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute cloud migration and modernization with minimal disruption.
• Design scalable, secure cloud architectures meeting federal standards.
• Support multi-cloud/hybrid environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, on-prem).
• Develop and deploy cloud-native apps using containers and microservices.
• Create and maintain IaC with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
