Job summary

Workiva Inc. is seeking a Principal Product Designer to lead experience strategy for the Workiva Platform from a senior design leadership level. The role focuses on AI experiences, systems thinking, and transforming workflows across enterprise use cases.

You will shape long-term platform vision at the intersection of UX, product strategy, and architecture, guiding human-in-the-loop moments and scalable design systems.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in product design or UX, with platform/enterprise experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or related field (or 8 years experience with a Master’s; or a PhD with 6 years).
• Proven track record delivering 0→1 products and scaling them in market.

Responsibilities

• Lead platform UX strategy across the Workiva Platform, aligning with product strategy and business goals.
• Shape AI-powered experiences including generative interfaces and decision-support workflows.
• Rethink and redesign workflows to simplify complex enterprise use cases.
• Design human-in-the-loop moments with clarity and trust in AI-enabled workflows.
• Lead discovery across cross-functional problems using research, data, and constraints to scalable solutions.
• Establish reusable patterns and information architecture across a multi-product ecosystem.
• Influence platform direction with Product and Engineering leadership.
• Advance design systems and governance for consistency and innovation.
• Mentor and raise craft standards across senior designers.
