Job summary

UKG is seeking a Principal, Data/Analytics and Benchmarking to build the analytical foundation for enterprise planning and decision-making. You will define metrics, collect data, build models and dashboards, and benchmark against external data to generate executive-ready insights.

The role collaborates with Finance and Enterprise Systems to ensure data quality and governance while leading high‑priority analyses and translating findings into strategic recommendations for senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in enterprise business operations, data analytics, data science, strategic finance, or related quantitative field.
• Demonstrated experience using data and external benchmarks to diagnose performance, identify drivers and gaps, and develop strategic recommendations.
• Advanced analytical proficiency with Excel and data querying, modeling, or visualization tool such as SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Python, or equivalent platform.
• Proficient in using AI to drive automated reporting and dashboarding.
• Experience translating complex analyses into executive-ready presentations and concise written recommendations.
• Experience with SaaS, enterprise software, workforce technology, or similar business models and metrics.
• Experience building benchmarking libraries, metric taxonomies, data dictionaries, or governed executive dashboards.
• Ability to pair analytical depth with strategic judgment and communicate with senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Define the data, analytics, and benchmarking roadmap for enterprise planning and transformation.
• Establish consistent metric definitions, calculation logic, data sources, and documentation for a transparent fact base.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Systems, Finance, and other teams to reconcile source data and identify trends.
• Conduct internal and external benchmarking to identify performance gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Build analytical models, scenarios, dashboards, and scorecards for priority decisions.
• Translate analyses into executive-ready narratives and visualizations with actions.
• Partner to resolve data quality issues and strengthen governance for enterprise metrics.
• Lead high-priority ad-hoc analyses under tight timelines.
