Full-time position available with the Water Department, Maintenance Investigations and Inspections division, located at 1800 Prospect.

Salary Range: $5,173 - $7,759/month.

Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Engineering Wastewater and Storm Waters Supplemental Contracts and Investigations/Inspections sections.
• Supervises 12 union employees along with 2 non-exempt Senior Engineering Technician employees.
• Ensures all wastewater and storm water investigations are completed and resolved.
• Manages daily scheduling and coordinating activities with contractors, other city departments, divisions, and direct reports.
• Oversees quality assurance and quality control of all service requests and work orders in Hansen Infor.
• Manages open and closed 311 action center requests.
• Signs off on contact repairs inside E-Builder and updates GIS mapping.
• Ensures city vehicles, equipment, and electronics are maintained.
• Enforces HR rules, investigates grievances, and manages employee leave requests.
• Completes annual performance ratings for direct reports within the designated timeframe.
• This exempt position requires working after hours on a weekly rotation, including on-call duties from 9:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., and working holidays as needed.
• Spends up to 50% of the workday in the office and 50% in the field, overseeing staff and contractors.

Qualifications

REQUIRES high school graduation and 9 years of experience in relevant fields, or 7 years with additional certifications, or equivalent education and experience. Must possess a valid driver's license, pass drug screening, and physical exam.
