Job summary

Janicki Industries is seeking a Principal Engineer to solve the most complex engineering challenges and provide strategic leadership across programs. You will mentor senior technical leaders, break down large-scale problems into actionable work, and drive initiatives that elevate organizational capability.

The role requires leadership across disciplines, mentoring teams, and aligning technical strategy with business goals, with eligibility for U.S. security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical field.
• Advanced degree preferred.
• Experience with CATIA, NX, or equivalent CAD software preferred.
• US Citizenship or Legal Permanent Resident status; ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a recognized expert with exceptional technical knowledge and problem-solving capability.
• Solve large-scale, complex engineering problems and decompose into actionable tasks.
• Provide strategic technical guidance and influence company-wide engineering direction.
• Demonstrate advanced skills across multiple engineering disciplines and lead cross-functional initiatives.
• Set technical standards within their specialty and train engineering teams.
• Drive major improvement initiatives that enhance organizational performance.
• Lead complex, high-impact projects with organization-wide implications.
• Communicate strategic technical direction to senior leadership and broad audiences.
• Mentor other leaders and shape the organization’s technical vision.
