Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids, IA seeks a Principal Software Engineer specializing in DevSecOps and software lifecycle development to join the onsite team. You will lead DevSecOps capabilities, drive automation, and oversee lifecycle pipelines across teams.

The role requires extensive experience in software engineering, certification processes, and mentoring teammates, with a focus on scalable, secure automation solutions for Collins organizations.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a degree in Science or Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
  • Experience in all aspects/phases the software engineering product lifecyle to include all phases of certification.

This is the PERFECT position for a Principal Level Software Engineer with a strong background in DevSecOps, Software Lifecycle Development (Requirements, Development, Test, Certification). Someone who can serve as the focal subject matter expert in all aspects related to Software Solution LifeCycle Pipelines. What You Will Do

  • Experience with scripting languages : Python, Robot, Lava.
  • Experience with SW Harness Testing and Adaption (PySMART, Rapitest, Etc..)
  • Experience with AI technology for automation enhancements.
  • Experience in detailed technical writing for solution adopters.
  • Experience with Agile development life cycle and best practices.
