Job summary

Roblox Studio is the creation engine behind millions of immersive 3D experiences built by creators around the world. As a Principal Engineer focused on Collaboration, you will lead the architecture and design of workflows on Roblox Studio and our platform enabling creators and AI agents to collaborate at scale by creating, sharing, and managing content.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of experience in large-scale C++ projects, deep game engine internals experience, and a passion for mentoring

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with large-scale C++ codebases.
• Experience with internals of a multiplayer game engine, addressing scale, latency, and throughput challenges.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver complex technical features end-to-end in the game engine and Roblox Studio.
• Establish foundational architecture and technical direction for Studio expansion.
• Collaborate across teams and platforms to deliver high-quality user functionality.
• Lead by example and mentor engineers in best practices and patterns.
• Improve product quality by fostering automation testing.
• Contribute to building the world's best professional application for massively multiplayer game development.
