Job summary

Arrcus, Inc. in San Jose, CA invites an experienced software engineer to join our networking team.

You will design, implement, and enhance features for our ACE platform, focusing on scalable control planes and high-performance networking software. The role requires deep expertise in C/C++/Go/Python, hands-on development of routing and data-plane components, and the ability to work across architecture and product teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in C/C++/Go/Python coding for networking products.
• Experience designing large-scale control plane protocols (BGP/OSPF/ISIS/LDP MPLS).
• Experience with L2 technologies (STP/PVST/MSTP).
• Experience with Control Plane Infra (TCP/IP, RIB, FIB, BFD, IPC).
• Experience with Overlay Technologies (L3VPN, EVPN, VxLAN).
• SR-MPLS/SRv6 experience and troubleshooting large deployments.

Responsibilities

• Triage and resolve internal and customer-found issues.
• Write feature specs covering requirements and design.
• Implement improvements and features individually or in teams.
• Evaluate and integrate third-party libraries.
• Peer review of specs, code, test plans, and docs.
• Improve performance and scalability of features.
