Job summary
Vertex Pharmaceuticals LLC is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead Microsoft 365 Modern Work and Copilot platform initiatives in a Hybrid Boston setting. The role balances hands-on work with strategic leadership, shaping secure, governed delivery across Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Exchange, and Entra ID.
The ideal candidate will drive Copilot and AI enablement, create robust governance, and collaborate with security, privacy, legal, and compliance teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Systems, CS, Engineering, Business, or related discipline.
- Extensive experience delivering and governing enterprise Microsoft 365 Modern Work capabilities.
- Experience implementing Copilot, Copilot Studio, AI governance, or related AI productivity capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Own technical delivery for Modern Work and AI initiatives, including design and change control.
- Lead escalations, incident management, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting.
- Lead Copilot and AI enablement, including SharePoint agents, Copilot Studio, and GitHub Copilot.
- Drive automation and continuous improvement across platforms.
- Act as technical authority, coordinating sessions and documenting governance and standards.
