Amazon in Bellevue, WA seeks a Principal Engineer to own the technical architecture enabling forecasting, planning, and GenAI insights. You will set the engineering direction across unified forecasting, coordinated planning system, and agentic insights platform, driving primitives, auditable outputs, and self-service interfaces.

This role partners with supply chain, operations, and Finance to simplify systems and boost efficiency, with measurable productivity gains across the org.

Formación

• 5+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience
• Experience leading engineering teams as a mentor or tech lead, or experience leading the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
• Experience in an operational environment developing, fast-prototyping, piloting and launching analytic products
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience
• Experience leading change in multiple site environments and influenceing those that are not direct reports or within your organization

Responsabilidades

• Own the technical architecture across systems. Drive simplification and establish the primitives and the migration path for the legacy systems.
• Set and hold the engineering bar in design reviews across science, engineering and product.
• Drive AI adoption as engineering infrastructure, including agentic tooling, skills, and spec-driven development practices that change how the org builds, and make the productivity gains measurable.
• Partner across supply chain functions, operations, and Finance to drive system simplification and efficiency.
