Job description

LTPF owns the demand forecasts and long-term plans that drive Amazon's top-line, capacity investments, working capital, and network topology decisions worldwide. Our outputs are reviewed by Stores and Operations leadership up to the CEO level, and they set the terms for billions of dollars in capex. We enable our mission with systems that coordinate inputs across distributed organizations and produce globally optimized plans.

We are looking for a Principal Engineer to own the technical architecture that makes that possible. You will set the engineering direction across unified forecasting, coordinated planning system, and GenAI agentic insights platform. You will drive tech primitives, standardized and auditable outputs, and self-service interfaces.

  • Experience building agentic or LLM-based systems in production, and experience driving AI-assisted development practices across an engineering organization
  • Experience working directly with scientists and economists as primary collaborators
