Job summary

Infineon Technologies AG in Livonia, MI seeks a Principal Engineer Field Application Engineering to collaborate with customers, turning whispers into industry-shaking solutions within our Customer Collaboration and Technical Marketing team. You will enable them to transform products into cutting-edge designs and build lasting partnerships that thrive on success.

You will support demonstrations, pre-sales opportunities, POC, and post-sales implementation, while reviewing client hardware designs

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering and 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Willingness to travel to visit local customers (30%), distance travel (15%).
• Strong presentation, written communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the business line on training and collateral development.
• Support the field team and the business line to prepare demonstrations.
• Support customers in pre-sales qualification, POC, and post-sales implementation and support.
• Present product overviews and technology demos and influence customer architecture.
• Support customer hardware/software evaluations and bring-up.
• Perform schematic and PCB layout reviews of customer hardware designs.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the business line on training and collateral development
• Support the field team and the business line to prepare demonstrations
• Support customers in both pre-sales opportunity qualification and proof-of-concept, as well as post-sales implementation and support
• Present product overviews / technology demos and understanding / influence customer architecture
• Support customer hardware/software evaluations and hardware/software bring-up
• Perform schematic and PCB layout reviews of customer hardware designs

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical / computer engineering and more than 7 years of working experience in a relevant field
• Travel to visit local customers (30%), distance travel (15%)
• Strong presentation, written communication and problem-solving skills
• Experience in high-speed physical layer circuitry and embedded systems hardware debug
• Experience with debugging EMC/EMI and PCB layout issues at ECU level
• Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (Ethernet, etc.), automotive design principles and ARM Cortex M cores

Salary and Compensation

Salary pay information: Location Indicative salary range Livonia, MI, United States Wage range that the company expects to pay for a qualified candidate: US$ 148,500 – US$ 204,200 In addition, all employees will be eligible to participate in an incentive plan.
