Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Technology, or a related technical field.
• Several years of technical experience in product development, systems engineering, applied R&D, or innovation execution.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and coordinate work across direct and dotted-line structures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience leading workstreams, sprints, prototypes, or cross-functional projects.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, innovation-focused environment.
• Master’s degree preferred; Specialist/Principal Engineer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical sprint execution for assigned innovation programs, ensuring clear direction, accountability, and timely delivery of sprint objectives.
• Provide day-to-day technical leadership to team members who report through dotted-line relationships, aligning priorities, deliverables, and technical direction.
• Drive execution of innovation projects across assigned technical focus areas.
• Coordinate closely with Innovation Core Functions to ensure the right technical capabilities and resources are aligned to each sprint or project effort.
• Translate innovation priorities into actionable technical workplans, sprint goals, and execution milestones.
• Support technical problem solving, design decisions, prototyping, testing, and validation activities needed to advance innovation programs.
• Maintain strong communication with project managers, engineering leaders, and stakeholders to support alignment, issue resolution, and execution speed.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and resource constraints early and escalate or resolve them as needed to keep sprint execution on track.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of Innovation Execution processes, tools, and team operating methods.
• Serve as a technical subject matter expert in one or more assigned innovation domains.
