Job summary

CoreWeave is seeking a principal-level software engineering leader to define the long-term technical direction for Developer Experience across the platform. You will own hard software design and architecture, guiding senior engineers and shaping services, APIs, and tooling that enable scalable, reliable compute at CoreWeave.

This role centers on Kubernetes-driven infrastructure and cross-team collaboration across build, test, and delivery systems to elevate developer productivity and software

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a closely related technical field.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including building and owning large-scale production software.
• Proven ability to define multi-year technical strategy across cross-team domains.
• Deep systems design with API design, service architecture, data models, and maintainability.
• Experience debugging complex distributed systems and performance bottlenecks.
• Strong experience building developer-facing platforms, APIs, CLIs, SDKs, or tooling.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the technical strategy for Developer Experience across build systems, test systems, and delivery platforms.
• Own delivery at scale from commit to production; optimize CI/CD throughput, build/test times, and deployment safety.
• Architect and evolve core services, APIs, SDKs, and abstractions for engineers to build, test, deploy, and operate software.
• Lead cross-team initiatives to improve engineering velocity, quality, and reliability at scale.
• Solve high-complexity software engineering problems involving distributed systems and failure handling.
• Establish technical standards for code quality, maintainability, observability, and long-term system design.
