Job summary

CoreWeave is seeking an Engineering Manager to build and lead a team of infrastructure and systems engineers. You will shape the team from its early stage, establishing a sustainable operating model and a clear charter.

In partnership with technical leadership, you will set how the team delivers, operates, and grows while owning people, priorities, and outcomes. You will guide architecture, improve testing and observability, and drive reliable infrastructure and automation at scale.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in software, infrastructure, or production engineering with people leadership.
• Experience managing engineers responsible for production systems with reliability requirements.
• Proficient with Kubernetes, distributed systems, and cloud infrastructure.
• Improvements to on-call, SLOs, observability, incident response, or change management.
• Ability to turn ambiguous ownership into clear plans and deliver outcomes.
• Comfort guiding tradeoffs and collaborating with senior engineers without becoming sole architect.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing team of infrastructure engineers.
• Set clear priorities, roadmaps, ownership, and measures of success.
• Define decision-making, escalation, and on-call practices as the team grows.
• Partner with technical leaders to guide architecture and deliver reliable infra and automation.
• Establish practices for testing, observability, safe changes, and incident response.
• Use data to identify risks and guide investments.
• Resolve cross-team dependencies and foster accountability and collaboration.
