Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Principal Engineer Structural, Aircraft Dynamics in Redondo Beach, CA. The role supports aeroelastic design, FEM modeling, and flight/test analyses for both unclassified and classified programs.

Candidate will interface with customers and internal teams to define study areas, with responsibilities spanning analysis, ground tests, and demonstrations. Requires DoD Secret clearance and SAP eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 5+ years engineering experience OR higher degrees with reduced years.
• Ability to obtain US Secret clearance and SAP access.
• Experience with aeroelastic design criteria and flutter/gust load analysis.

Responsibilities

• Establish aeroelastic design criteria for advanced designs.
• Generate and validate aeroelastic FEM models.
• Perform modal and aeroelastic analyses including flutter.
• Support ground and flight test activities for certification.
• Prepare technical briefings for stakeholders.
• Communicate analysis results to customers and teams.
