Job summary

ENERCON's New Reactor Group seeks a Principal Project Engineer to lead design and integration for advanced nuclear power generation technologies. You will guide multi-discipline teams, review critical deliverables, and ensure regulatory compliance across NSSS and BOP systems.

The role offers leadership opportunities, travel up to 15%, and collaboration with utilities, developers, and vendors to advance engineering excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
• 8–12 years of experience in power generation engineering including nuclear plants, steam turbine, HRSG systems, or related technologies.
• 3–5 years in a lead or principal engineering role.
• Familiarity with industry codes (ASME, API, NFPA) as applied to power facilities.
• Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-discipline engineering efforts for nuclear power generation projects from conceptual design through issued for construction deliverables.
• Review and oversee key engineering deliverables including system design documents, P&IDs, plant layouts, equipment specifications, and interface documents.
• Coordinate with mechanical, civil, environmental, electrical, structural, nuclear, and I&C teams to ensure seamless integration and constructability.
• Interface with project management to define scope, work breakdown structures, schedules, and risk matrix; support design/construction interfaces.
• Provide technical mentorship focusing on quality, professional development, and knowledge transfer.
