Job summary

Enercon Services, Inc. seeks a Principal Project Engineer to lead design and integration for advanced nuclear generation technologies. Responsibilities include guiding NSSS and BOP systems, mentoring engineers, and providing technical leadership on cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate has a strong systems engineering background, plant layout experience, and familiarity with industry standards. Travel up to 15% may be required; multiple US locations are considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
• 8–12 years of experience in power generation engineering including nuclear plants and related systems.
• 3–5 years in a lead or principal engineering role.
• Strong understanding of thermodynamic cycles, heat and mass balances, and BOP design.
• Experience coordinating across mechanical, civil, electrical, structural, environmental, and I&C disciplines.
• Experience interfacing with clients, developers, OEMs, and EPC partners.
• Familiarity with industry codes and standards in power generation facilities.
• Willingness to travel up to 15%.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-disciplinary engineering efforts from conceptual design through for construction deliverables.
• Oversee and review key deliverables such as system designs, P&IDs, plant layouts, and equipment specs.
• Coordinate with multiple engineering teams to ensure seamless integration across disciplines.
• Interface with project management to define scope, WBS, schedules, and risk.
• Provide technical mentorship and support knowledge transfer.
