The ideal candidate will have a strong systems engineering background, experience with cross‑functional teams, and a track record mentoring less experienced engineers. Travel up to 15% is expected, with multiple U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university.
• 8–12 years of power generation engineering experience including nuclear plants, steam turbines, HRSGs, and CC power plants.
• 3–5 years in a lead or principal engineering role.
• Strong understanding of thermodynamic cycles, heat and mass balances, fluid systems, and BOP design.
• Experience coordinating activities across mechanical, civil, electrical, structural, environmental, and I&C disciplines.
• Interface with clients, developers, OEMs, and EPC partners.
• Familiarity with industry codes and standards (ASME, API, NFPA) and design/management software.
• Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-disciplinary engineering efforts from conceptual design through issued for construction deliverables.
• Oversee key deliverables: system design documents, P&IDs, plant layouts, equipment specs, interface docs.
• Coordinate with mechanical, civil, electrical, environmental, I&C teams; manage vendor evaluations.
• Interface with project management to define scope, WBS, schedules, and risk; support budgeting and design-construction interfaces.
• Provide technical mentorship and development for engineers.
