Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Experience designing digital and mixed-signal circuits for embedded systems.
• Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout tools.
• Ability to work with vendors and QA to support production transition.

Responsibilities

• Translate product requirements into implementable digital circuits and complete schematic designs.
• Design mixed-signal and digital circuits for embedded systems, including interfacing with processors/DSP, FPGA/CPLD, Flash, RAM and related memory devices.
• Capture schematics and create symbol designs from manufacturer data sheets; build and maintain the component databook/library.
• Lead PCB design and layout, creating part types and PCB decals from data sheets.
• Create board outlines for PCI, VME and VPX form factors; define routing instructions for high-speed signals and differential pairs (Ethernet, SRIO).
• Generate STP files and interface with mechanical for form/fit/thermal/mounting considerations; create design and source control drawings.
• Coordinate and communicate with management on schedule, milestones and technical status; transition designs to manufacturing with complete design packages.
