Job summary

Nextgen Technologies Inc. is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead embedded computing products from concept through production. You will drive digital/mixed-signal circuit design and high-reliability PCB development with hands-on leadership.

You'll mentor engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and own schematic capture, PCB layout, routing, and verification of high-speed interfaces such as Ethernet and SRIO. A BS is required and 10+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of circuit board design experience.
• Strong embedded systems and mixed-signal design background.
• Experience with FPGA/DSP and memory interfaces.
• Hands-on PCB troubleshooting and test development.
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools.

Responsibilities

• Schematic capture and component library development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Schematic capture and component library development
• PCB/PWB layout, routing, stack-up and controlled impedance
• High-speed interfaces including Ethernet & Serial RapidIO (SRIO)
• FPGA, DSP, Flash, RAM and embedded system design
• PCB troubleshooting, testing and debugging
• Design documentation and production transition
• Collaboration with mechanical engineering, vendors and cross-functional teams
• Mentoring engineers and providing technical leadership

What We’re Looking For:

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 10+ years of relevant circuit board design experience
• Strong embedded systems and mixed-signal design background
• Experience with FPGA/DSP and memory interfaces
• Hands-on PCB troubleshooting and test development
• Experience with schematic capture, PCB layout and routing tools

Nice to Have:
