Curtiss-Wright in New York is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead mixed-signal circuit design for VPX-style embedded computing cards from concept to production. This senior role requires independent ownership of designs, thorough design reviews, and collaboration with mechanical engineering and internal program teams.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering required, with 5+ years of circuit board design experience.
• US Citizen and ability to obtain/maintain DOD security clearance.
• Experience designing digital and mixed-signal circuits for embedded systems in high-reliability environments.
• Proficiency in schematic capture, PWB layout and routing.
• Hands-on interfacing DSP, FPGA, Flash and RAM with knowledge of communication protocols.
• Experience with ANSI/VITA VPX standards is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Perform circuit card assembly design with mixed-signal technology (processors, I/O, FPGA/CPLD).
• Design and develop automated test fixtures to support system testing.
• Debug and resolve hardware/firmware issues in new and existing products.
• Provide PWA input for design views and part lists (D&D).
• Create specification and source control drawings (SCD).
• Write detailed customer reports and technical deliverables.
• Transition designs to manufacturing with complete design packages for production.
