Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Embedded Software Engineer to join the Receiver/ Exciter & Processing Architecture (REPA) Department. You will design, develop, and support land and sea-based radar systems, focusing on transitioning legacy radar hardware and software to modern technologies while maintaining deployed systems.

The role emphasizes troubleshooting, patching, and software integration, with a first-shift, onsite requirement in Marlborough, MA.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 8+ years of prior relevant experience.
• Embedded C/C++ and Ada software development experience.
• Experience developing on VxWorks and Linux/Unix platforms.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Interim Secret U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Support sustainment of legacy radar systems, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and patching.
• Port legacy Unix and VxWorks software to modern Linux systems or identify replacements.
• Support software integration, testing, and verification.
• This first shift role is 100% onsite based in Marlborough, MA.
