Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal/Senior Principal Embedded Software Engineer for the Weapons Integration & Mission Solutions (WIMS) team in Warner Robins, GA. On-site daily, you will contribute to the modernization and sustainment of Embedded EW and Radar Flight Programs within a cross‑functional group.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in embedded software, formal SDLC, and leadership capabilities, with a BS in a STEM field and multiple years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS/EE/CE or related STEM field.
Minimum 5 years of direct relevant experience with a BS degree; 3 years with a MS; 1 year with a PhD.
Proficiency in C/C++/Ada or similar OO languages.
Experience in embedded software development and emulation/simulation software.

Responsibilities

Develop, modify, and maintain embedded operational flight programs using best practices and standards.
Participate in the full software development life cycle from requirements to testing and deployment.
Provide leadership in solving complex problems within an interdisciplinary team.
Collaborate with Program Management, suppliers, and government customers to ensure program success.
Role may be filled at Principal or Senior Principal level.
