Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal/Senior Principal Embedded Software Engineer for the Weapons Integration & Mission Solutions (WIMS) team in Warner Robins, GA. On-site daily, you will contribute to the modernization and sustainment of Embedded EW and Radar Flight Programs within a cross‑functional group.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in embedded software, formal SDLC, and leadership capabilities, with a BS in a STEM field and multiple years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/EE/CE or related STEM field.
• Minimum 5 years of direct relevant experience with a BS degree; 3 years with a MS; 1 year with a PhD.
• Proficiency in C/C++/Ada or similar OO languages.
• Experience in embedded software development and emulation/simulation software.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and maintain embedded operational flight programs using best practices and standards.
• Participate in the full software development life cycle from requirements to testing and deployment.
• Provide leadership in solving complex problems within an interdisciplinary team.
• Collaborate with Program Management, suppliers, and government customers to ensure program success.
• Role may be filled at Principal or Senior Principal level.
