Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Sector seeks a Staff Embedded Software Engineer for the IMS Software Engineering Team in Warner Robins, GA. You will contribute to embedded flight software for military platforms, leading project aspects and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Requirements include a STEM degree and extensive experience in OO languages, embedded systems, and software lifecycle. A Secret clearance is required or achievable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related STEM field.
• 12+ years experience with BS; 10+ with MS; 8+ with PhD.
• Proficiency in C/C++/Ada or other OO languages.
• Experience with full software lifecycle from requirements to testing.
• Experience with real-time embedded OS (VxWorks, Embedded Linux).
• Hands-on software/hardware integration and testing.
• Ability to interface with customers/stakeholders.
• Strong verbal and written communication; DoW Secret clearance or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and maintain embedded flight programs and simulation/emulation/IV&V apps.
• Participate in full software lifecycle: requirements, modeling, testing, release, maintenance.
• Provide leadership in solving complex problems.
• Interact with Program Management, suppliers, and government customers.
