Job summary

RTX in Goleta, CA is seeking a Principal Systems Security Engineer (SSE) to apply expertise in Anti-Tamper and embedded Cybersecurity for secure DoD products. The role leads cross-functional teams, develops security solutions, and ensures program milestones are met in a classified environment.

The candidate will follow SE processes, develop security artifacts, and present findings to internal leadership and external customers, while maintaining an active DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in STEM with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Active DoD Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship required.
• Experience in Anti-Tamper, Cybersecurity, or Software Assurance across HW, SW, or systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform CPI analysis and SSE requirements derivation.
• Develop Anti-Tamper plans and SSE artifacts (diagrams, models).
• Conduct V&V planning and execution; present at reviews and milestones.
• Lead trade-studies, derive path forward recommendations, report status.
• Travel up to 25% as necessary.
